Up tells of an old man who makes his entire house airborne

Pixar film Up has opened the 62nd Cannes Film Festival – the first time an animation has launched the event on the French Riviera.

A host of celebrities donned 3D glasses for the film, not in competition, about a curmudgeonly man who ties balloons to his house in order to get airborne.

Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton was among those on the red carpet.

Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp are also all due in town, with new films to promote.

The event runs until 24 May, when the Palme d’Or prize will be announced.

John Lasseter, Up producer and Pixar co-founder, beamed with delight as he and colleagues mingled with the celebrities on the carpet.

“We’re just a bunch of animation geeks from northern California on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival,” he said.

The 10th feature film from animation powerhouse Pixar was warmly received earlier at its press screening, where the closing credits were greeted with a round of applause. Read more at BBC Website

I’ve booked June issue of Better photography at Cambridge Book Depot, Ranipur More almost a month ago.

Heck, I’ve received it just yesterday, that’s completely a month beyond the date of booking.

Update:- This bird is no longer a Unkonwn bird. It’s an Asian female Koel (Cuckoo).

Got this Red Bridge all-in-one memory card reader yesterday from Prayag Cyber Café at Ranipur More for 500 400 bucks (without any bargain).

Returned home and plugged my Nokia N-72’s MMC in it to transfer some images removed after doing so and my N-72’s memory card is dead.

My phone no longer accepts this card and so as my PC.

Shown it to Rahul at Prayag Cyber Café, Ranipur More. He says that my memory card is dead and I’ve to buy new one.

Yesterday my Canon Powershot A720IS arrived finally. It was expected to arrive on 13th as I ordered it on 10th of June from ebay.in but delayed because of heavy rainfall in Mumbai.

I got one 32MB SD memory card supplied by the manufacturer (which is of no use to me) and a 1GB Kingston SD mem. card supplied by the seller.

I’m unable to understand how to get better shots using Manual settings!!!

Yesterday evening, Ravinder called me as he wants me to help him buying a pendrive.
He’s one of my best friends. We first met in counseling at Gurukul during 2006. Actually he was the guy I had been sitting next for about six hours atleast in CLT-I that day (same way as I met Shashank Mehta at St. Mary’s entrance test in 2000).
Since then Ravinder found my technology enthusiasm very interesting. Though he’s now a dropout of B.Sc.

I suggested him to go for Kingston’s Datatraveller 2gb(cost effective) or San disk Titanium Cruzer (coz it’s downright sexy! look wise). He visited Bhalla Business and Education Center and other PC shops for the same but all of them shown him Transcend’s and other such low brands. Now he’s in the same problem as Dushyant faced few months ago who later on opted for Umax.
People use to have this type of problem in this city when going for a particular brand and model which is not available in the local market resulting they’re left with no choice other than picking up what’s available.
So, I told him to get one from Dehradoon market instead.

And he also liked my caller tune…. Nelly Furtado’s Say It Right. 

What you're going to do with your PS2 when you don't have new game titles left to play? I've customized mine with Artis 2.1 speakers and couple of good music Cd's.

Just downloaded LJ client. Wonder if there's such a client for my WordPress blog.
